Communicating to Health Professionals
Background
A new way of presenting information had evolved, and our client wanted to find out more about how helpful that way of presenting health information was to key groups of health professionals

Objectives
To provide feedback on advantages and disadvantages in this approach, and to compare its helpfulness with other forms of information presentation and analysis.

Approach

These health professionals were incredibly busy people, which prevented group discussions from being an option.  However it was felt that it was important to get feedback from a peer group, where respondents would have the chance to react to one another's comments.  Thus a combination of individual depth interviews (to elicit in depth, individual responses) and Bulletin Board Focus Groups (to achieve peer interaction) was used.

Outcome

The health professionals were extremely critical of the new type of information presentation, and provided detailed recommendations for improving it.
